ANTOA Discusses Tourism Development with the Principal Secretary, Tourism & Culture Affairs, Government of Punjab
The Andaman Nicobar Tour Operators Association (ANTOA) had the privilege of interacting with Ms. Rakhee Gupta Bhandari, IAS, Principal Secretary, Tourism & Cultural Affairs, Government of Punjab, during the India International Travel Mart (IITM).
During the meeting, ANTOA representatives discussed various issues related to the development and promotion of tourism in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The discussions focused on strengthening tourism cooperation, increasing destination awareness, and exploring opportunities to attract more visitors to the islands.
Goodwill Gesture
As a gesture of goodwill, ANTOA presented a prototype memento of the historic Cellular Jail to the Principal Secretary. The memento was presented by the then President, Mr. Bhuneshwar, and General Secretary, Mr. Simson, in the presence of Executive Committee members.
Tourism Connectivity & Promotion
The meeting also included discussions on improving tourism connectivity and promoting the Andaman & Nicobar Islands in northern India. The Principal Secretary appreciated the tourism potential of the islands and expressed her interest in supporting tourism promotion initiatives.
