Strengthening Tourism, Serving the Community

ANTOA works for sustainable tourism growth, member welfare, community service and the overall development of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Programs & Initiatives

Since its establishment on 22 August 2017, the Andaman Nicobar Tour Operators Association (ANTOA) has remained committed to the sustainable growth of tourism, the welfare of its members, and meaningful service to society.

Through collaborative efforts with government departments, tourism stakeholders, and local communities, the association has undertaken a wide range of programmes and initiatives that contribute to the overall development of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Tourism Promotion

Promoting the Andaman & Nicobar Islands as a premier island destination has always been one of ANTOA's key priorities. The association actively participates in national tourism events and promotional activities to showcase the islands' tourism potential, strengthen industry partnerships, and create new business opportunities for its members.

Through these programmes, ANTOA has promoted the unique tourism experiences of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands while building stronger relationships with travel professionals, tour operators, and tourism stakeholders across India.

Tourism Development & Industry Advocacy

As the representative body of Tour Operators, Tour Boat Operators, and Hoteliers, ANTOA actively works to address industry concerns and support initiatives that improve tourism services across the islands.

Key Contributions

  • Successfully advocated for an increase in the seating capacity of tourist vessels to improve visitor accessibility.
  • Supported efforts that contributed to the reduction of Jolly Buoy tourism-related charges, making one of the islands' most popular destinations more affordable for visitors.
  • Worked with government authorities and tourism stakeholders on issues related to tourism development.
  • Continued to represent the interests of tourism professionals through constructive dialogue and collaboration.

Community Welfare

ANTOA believes that serving the community is an integral part of building a responsible tourism industry.

Public Support Initiatives

  • Provided wheelchair facilities to assist senior citizens and differently abled visitors.
  • Made baby strollers available to support families travelling with young children.

Disaster Relief

  • Contributed ₹25,000 towards relief efforts for those affected by the Wayanad Floods.
  • Donated ₹10,000 to the Lieutenant Governor's Relief Fund in support of humanitarian assistance.
